Our evolving Wellness Program will continue to focus on your personal health journey. It is designed to inform conference attendees, exhibitors and family members of registered attendees of the various aspects of health, which include physical activity, nutrition and stress management. These interactive sessions will focus on information and solutions to help you be and feel your best.

There is no additional cost to participate in these activities.

Walk It Out Challenge
Back by popular demand, come participate in some friendly competition amongst your peers as you ‘walk it out’ and work your way up the leader board to win prizes.

APCO will be giving out free Bluetooth connected step trackers and sport towels to the first 150 participants that come to the Walk It Out Challenge booth located at the Baltimore Convention Center, Pratt Street Lobby. Step trackers will be available for pick up starting on Saturday, August 10, at 2:00 p.m.

The Walk It Out Challenge will officially start on Sunday, August 11, at 8:30 a.m. ET and end on Wednesday, August 14, at 12:30 p.m. ET. Participants can track their steps using their own personal Fitbit, Jawbone, Apple Watch, Garmin or the step tracker integrated on your iPhone/Android smart phone. The Walk It Out Challenge app requires iOS 9.0 and above on the following devices: iPhone 4S and above, iPad Air, Mini, and 3rd & 4th generation iPads. Android requirements: Android 5.0 and above that have not been customized by the phone-tablet manufacturer.

Arrive at least 10 minutes early to register and sign the waiver.
This all-activity level flow yoga class is perfect for those wanting to energize the start of their day with a traditional yoga experience.
What to Bring and Wear: Wear light-weight, comfortable clothing with sneakers. Bring a bottle of water. Yoga mat and towel are provided.

12:00  – 1:00 p.m. Your Vision for Less Stress
Hilton Baltimore, Key Ballroom 12, Second Floor

To have something different, it helps to spend some time thinking about what it looks like. When you’re locked in a few days or weeks of stress, it can be difficult to see anything but more of what creates the stress. In this  session, you’ll learn the power of a compelling vision for the future and how to prioritize the activities that will help you achieve this vision.Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the research behind the power of crafting a clear vision for tomorrow
  • Identify one specific step you can take today for less stress and more happiness
  • Learn why saying “no” more often may be the most important thing you can do
4:00 – 5:00 p.m. You Are What You Eat

Burnout may seem like just a psychological thing, but it effects more than our mental state. During this session, you’ll learn about the mind-body connection and how we what you put into your body conditions how think and feel. Prevent feelings of burnout, give yourself more energy, and bounce back more easily using these simple shifts.Learning Objectives:

  • Identify three simple strategies to lose weight and think more clearly
  • Learn how the “stress-promoting” diet may be keeping you on the hamster wheel
  • Find out how your eating habits are related to your stress levels
